Driving Directions to Shepherdstown, WV

Shepherdstown is just minutes off of I-81, for those coming from the northeast, and 50 minutes from Dulles International Airport for those who are truly flying-in. Shepherdstown is 12 miles outside of Harpers Ferry, WV on WV state route 230.

From Dulles International Airport

1. Take the airport access road to VA-267 W toward Leesburg.
2. Take VA Route 267 about 12 miles to exit 1A, US Route 15/VA Route 7 toward Warrenton/Leesburg (toll)
3. Take VA 7 for a little over 4 miles to VA-9, exit toward Hillsboro/Charlestown WV.
4. Take VA 9 and turn right at Charles Town Pike/VA 9, and go about 10 miles.
5. Make a slight right at Harpers Ferry Rd/VA 671 N, and go about 7-1/2 miles.
6. Turn left at US 340 and go about 4-1/2 miles.
7. Turn right at Shepherdstown Pike/WV 230, and follow WV 230 into Shepherdstown, about 9 miles.

From I-81

1. Take I-81 to Martinsburg, WV.
2. Take Exit 13 onto W King St.
3. Follow King St to Queen St.
4. Turn left on Queen St, and follow it to Moler Ave.
5. Turn right on Moler Ave. It becomes WV Route 45.
6. Follow Route 45 all the way to Shepherdstown.

From I-70

1. Take I-270 or I-70 to Frederick, MD.
2. Follow the signs CAREFULLY, and exit onto US 340 W.
3. Follow US 340 W past Harpers Ferry.
4. Continue on US 340 W to WV state Route 230.
5. Turn right on WV 230 and follow it all the way to Shepherdstown.
