The club dances regularly in several locations, National City Christian Church at Thomas Circle (a.k.a. NCCC), Francis Scott Key Middle School in suburban Maryland, and the Barkley Basement in Arlington, Virginia. Thanks to all who help make arrangements for these facilities.
National City Christian Church - Club Nights and Open Houses
National City Christian Church is located at 5 Thomas Cir NW (map). The entrance is through the courtyard door (the door on your right as you enter the courtyard) off 14th St NW. Street.
You can park beneath the church. Go north on 15th St, and after crossing Massachusetts Ave, take an immediate right turn onto N Street. Two-thirds of the way down the block turn right into the alley (just before the apartment building at the end of the block). Turn left into the parking garage entrance ramp. Push the call box for the church (not for the apartment building), and tell the desk person that you are there for square dancing. The desk person will buzz you in. After parking, use the buzzer to enter the church building. Go to the end of the long hall and take the elevator up to the main floor. Come out to the entry desk to be directed to the dance hall.
Francis Scott Key Middle School, Silver Spring, Maryland - Community Dances
The club's community dances are at the Francis Scott Key Middle School, located at 910 Schindler Drive in Silver Spring, Maryland 20903 (map). The school has plenty of off-street parking.
Barkley - Some Classes and Workshops
The Barkley is located at 1016 S. Wayne Street in Arlington, Virginia (map). It's a few minutes from DC, and just off of I-395. The Barkley is sometimes used for classes and workshops. The C-1 Workshop also dances regularly here. Limited parking is available in the Barkley's guest (north) parking lot. If you park in this lot, you must register your car at the Barkley's front desk; otherwise, your car may be towed. Additional parking is available at the end of the block in the parking lot on the right.
The Waxter Center (Baltimore's Hot Dance Spot)
So you want to go to Baltimore and dance with the Chesapeake Squares? Let's put it this way, downtown Baltimore is confusing because of a lot of one-way streets. The Waxter Center is at 1000 Cathedral Street in Baltimore (map).
